Installation

rCommerce ships as a single static binary. There is no runtime to install and no dependencies beyond PostgreSQL.

Install script (recommended)

curl -fsSL https://assets.rcommerce.app/install.sh | sudo sh

The script resolves the latest version, downloads the right prebuilt binary for your platform from the download CDN, verifies its sha256 checksum, and installs it to /usr/local/bin. On Linux it also creates an rcommerce system user, a config skeleton at /etc/rcommerce/config.toml, and a systemd service.

Useful overrides:

# Install a specific version instead of the latest
sudo RCOMMERCE_VERSION=0.1.1 sh install.sh

# On Linux, use the fully static (musl) build
sudo RCOMMERCE_VARIANT=static sh install.sh

Manual binary download

Prebuilt binaries are published to the download CDN under each release version, and attached to the corresponding git tag release (GitHub, with a Gitee mirror). Each file has a .sha256 sidecar, and SHA256SUMS.txt lists all checksums for the release.

The static (musl) builds run on any Linux distro, including ones with an older glibc.
